LoRaWAN ball valve controller for automatic water shut-off
The Ball valve controller BVSLWE01 Aqua-Scope LoRaWAN retrofits an existing manual ball valve with remote and automatic control. It can be used for water shut-off, leak protection and building automation without replacing the existing valve.
The controller communicates through LoRaWAN Class C and can be operated remotely through a compatible LoRaWAN gateway and monitoring platform. Local operation is also available through the integrated touch button.
Automatic valve control and leak protection
The BVSLWE01 uses an adjustable clamping mechanism for installation on existing ball valves. It is designed for pipe sizes from approximately 0.5 to 1.5 inches, with optional larger clamps available for installations up to 2 inches.
The motor measures the valve rotation angle and detects the end positions during calibration. Automatic weekly valve exercise moves the valve approximately 1/8 turn to help reduce deposits and keep the valve mechanism operational.
An external wired water leak sensor can be connected directly to the controller. When water is detected, the system can be used as a local leak protection solution in addition to LoRaWAN-based monitoring and control.
See the official Aqua-Scope BVSLWE01 documentation for installation, calibration and LoRaWAN configuration guidance.

Installation and connection
The controller clamps onto an existing ball valve without requiring replacement of the valve. After installation, the device performs a calibration procedure to determine the valve end positions. Connect the supplied 12 V power supply and, if required, the wired water leak sensor. A compatible LoRaWAN gateway and network server are required for remote control and monitoring.
