LoRaWAN communication module for Kamstrup MULTICAL 403/603/803
The CMi4140 ELV Module for Kamstrup Multical 403/603/803 LoRaWAN is an integrated Elvaco Meter Connectivity Module designed to add wireless LoRaWAN communication to compatible Kamstrup MULTICAL 403, 603 and 803 heating and cooling meters. The module is installed inside the meter and transfers meter data to a receiving system through a LoRaWAN network.
The CMi4140 communicates on 868 MHz and can transmit meter data through a compatible LoRaWAN gateway to an energy management, billing or remote meter-reading platform.
Integrated LoRaWAN meter communication
The CMi4140 is suitable for both new installations and retrofit applications. It supports LoRaWAN Class A communication with OTAA or ABP activation and configurable data rates from DR0 to DR5.
Commissioning and configuration are performed using NFC with the Elvaco OTC mobile app, while settings can also be adjusted remotely through LoRaWAN downlink. EcoMode optimizes transmission intervals and enables a battery operating life of at least 11 years under specified conditions.
The module is available with either an internal or external antenna and includes two pulse inputs that can be used to collect pulses from adjacent meters.

Installation and connection
Install the CMi4140 in the module slot of a compatible Kamstrup MULTICAL 403, 603 or 803 meter and connect it to the meter power supply. Configure and activate the module through NFC using the Elvaco OTC app. A compatible LoRaWAN gateway, network server and receiving platform are required for remote meter reading.
