Single-phase direct energy meter with Modbus RTU
The EM111DINAV81XS1PFB EM111 CG Direct 1 Phase up to 32A Modbus is a compact Carlo Gavazzi single-phase MID energy analyzer for direct measurement of electrical consumption without external current transformers. It is designed for applications up to 32 A and is suitable for sub-metering, building energy monitoring and electrical load analysis.
The meter communicates through RS485 Modbus RTU, allowing energy and electrical measurements to be integrated with building management systems, PLCs, SCADA platforms and energy monitoring software.
Direct single-phase energy measurement
The EM111 connects directly to a 230 V single-phase, two-wire electrical system. The AV8 version supports direct measurement up to 32 A, with a current input rating of 5(45) A.
The meter measures imported and exported active and reactive energy together with electrical variables including voltage, current, active power, reactive power, power factor and frequency. The PFB version is MID certified and can be used where approved fiscal energy metering is required.

Installation and connection
Mount the EM111 on a DIN rail and connect the phase and neutral conductors directly through the meter according to the installation diagram. Connect the RS485 interface to the Modbus RTU network for remote data collection. Installation should be carried out by qualified personnel according to applicable electrical safety requirements.
