Three-phase energy analyzer for 5 A current transformers with Modbus RTU
The EM530DINAV53XS1PFB EM530 CG Indirect 3 Phase to Current transformer Modbus is a Carlo Gavazzi three-phase MID energy analyzer designed for indirect current measurement through external current transformers with a 5 A secondary output. It is suitable for commercial and industrial energy monitoring, sub-metering and billing-related applications.
The meter communicates through RS485 Modbus RTU, allowing measured electrical and energy values to be integrated with building management systems, SCADA platforms, PLCs and energy monitoring software.
Indirect three-phase measurement with 5 A CTs
The EM530 AV5 version is designed for 5 A current-transformer connections and supports a nominal voltage of 230 V L-N / 400 V L-L. The primary current range is determined by the external current transformer ratio, making the analyzer suitable for a wide range of electrical loads.
The meter measures energy consumption and other electrical parameters and provides remote access to measurement data through Modbus RTU. This PFB version is MID approved for three-phase applications.

Installation and connection
Mount the EM530 on a DIN rail and connect the voltage inputs according to the electrical system configuration. Connect one correctly sized 5 A secondary current transformer to each monitored phase and configure the CT ratio in the meter. Connect the RS485 interface to the Modbus RTU network for remote data collection. Installation should be carried out by qualified personnel according to applicable electrical safety requirements.
