3-port isolated RS485 Modbus splitter with PoE
The ICP TSH-735i CR Modbus splitter is a compact ICP DAS serial port sharer designed for Modbus RTU/ASCII and other query-response serial applications. It provides three isolated RS485 ports and can be used to share one Modbus slave network between two master devices, convert baud rates or bridge different serial communication settings.
The unit also includes a 10/100Base-TX Ethernet port with IEEE 802.3af PoE support, allowing network connection and power to be supplied through the same Ethernet cable where compatible PoE infrastructure is available. Configuration is performed through the built-in web server.
RS485 sharing and Modbus conversion
The tSH-735i supports Modbus RTU/ASCII protocol conversion, baud-rate conversion and raw-data mode for many query-response protocols. In two-master applications, two devices connected to separate serial ports can access the same slave devices through the third RS485 port.
A built-in read-cache function can reduce repeated traffic on the slave bus when both masters request the same information. Each of the three RS485 interfaces is galvanically isolated with 3000 VDC signal isolation and supports communication speeds up to 115200 bps.

Installation and connection
Mount the tSH-735i on a DIN rail and connect the required RS485 master and slave networks to the three isolated serial ports. Configure baud rate, parity, protocol and operating mode through the integrated web interface. Ethernet can be connected to a compatible PoE switch or injector when IEEE 802.3af power is used. RS485 polarity, bus topology and termination should follow the requirements of the connected Modbus devices.
