The Mclimate Flood sensor lorawan is a compact wireless flood detector designed for residential, commercial and building-management applications. It detects water using three sensing pins on the bottom of the device and sends a LoRaWAN alert within seconds when all three pins make contact with water.
The sensor can communicate through a compatible LoRaWAN gateway to a monitoring or building-management platform. In addition to wireless alerts, the device includes a built-in buzzer and LED for local indication of a detected flood.
Flood detection with temperature and tamper monitoring
The MClimate Flood Sensor also includes an integrated temperature sensor, allowing the surrounding temperature to be monitored alongside flood status. This can help identify conditions where freezing may become a risk.
A built-in anti-tamper function detects attempts to open or interfere with the device and can report the event through LoRaWAN. The enclosure uses a rubber seal to help prevent water entering the electronics, and the sensor is designed to float if submerged, allowing it to be reused after a flooding event.
The device operates as a LoRaWAN Class A end-device and supports OTAA, ADR and adaptive channel setup. A replaceable CR123A battery provides up to 10 years of expected battery life depending on configuration and operating conditions.

Installation and connection
Place the MClimate Flood Sensor on a flat surface in the area where water is most likely to collect. Register the device with the LoRaWAN network using OTAA and configure the required alarm and reporting parameters. A compatible LoRaWAN gateway and network server are required for remote monitoring.
