Ultrasonic heat meter with LoRaWAN communication
The SensoStar 10m3 200mm DN40 TempSensor Ø5mm LoRaWAN is an Engelmann ultrasonic thermal energy meter designed for heat and cooling energy measurement in larger commercial, industrial and district energy installations. This configuration has a nominal flow rate of 10 m³/h, DN40 nominal diameter and a 200 mm installation length.
The meter uses ultrasonic time-of-flight measurement and can transmit measurement data through LoRaWAN to a compatible LoRaWAN gateway, network server and energy-management or billing platform.
10 m³/h DN40 thermal energy measurement
This SensoStar U configuration combines a qp 10 m³/h ultrasonic flow sensor with DN40 nominal diameter, G2B connection and 200 mm installation length. The flow sensor has no moving mechanical measuring parts and is designed for flexible installation in heating and cooling systems.
The meter uses Pt1000 temperature sensors and supports Ø5 mm probes. Thermal energy is calculated from the measured flow together with the temperature difference between the supply and return circuits.
The SensoStar platform supports LoRaWAN as an optional communication interface. The meter also provides an LCD display, optical interface and internal historical data storage for local commissioning and meter reading.
See the official Engelmann SensoStar U / UC datasheet for detailed specifications, communication options and installation requirements.
