Ultrasonic heat meter with LoRaWAN communication
The Sensostar 3,5m3 130mm DN20 TempSensor Ø5mm LoRaWAN is an Engelmann ultrasonic compact thermal energy meter designed for heat measurement in residential, commercial and building energy applications. This configuration has a nominal flow rate of 3.5 m³/h, DN20 nominal diameter, 130 mm installation length and Ø5 mm temperature sensors.
LoRaWAN communication enables automated remote meter reading through a compatible LoRaWAN gateway, network server and energy-management or billing platform.
3.5 m³/h DN20 thermal energy measurement
This SensoStar configuration combines a qp 3.5 m³/h flow sensor with DN20 nominal diameter, 130 mm installation length and G1B connection. It is suitable for building heating circuits where compact ultrasonic measurement and remote data collection are required.
The meter calculates thermal energy from measured volume flow together with the temperature difference between the supply and return circuits. The Ø5 mm temperature sensor configuration allows the probes to be installed in compatible sensor pockets or direct immersion positions according to the installation design.
LoRaWAN is available as a communication module for the SensoStar platform, providing wireless meter data collection without local manual readings.
See the official Engelmann SensoStar U technical documentation for detailed specifications, configuration options and installation requirements.
