The DSE Wired M-Bus to LoRa LoRaWAN is a DS Energy gateway designed to connect Wired M-Bus devices to a LoRaWAN network. It receives data from compatible Wired M-Bus devices and forwards the relevant information via LoRaWAN to a LoRaWAN gateway, which can then transmit the data to the appropriate server or backend system.

Wired M-Bus to LoRaWAN communication
The gateway supports standard Wired M-Bus communication and can connect up to five M-Bus devices. On the wireless side, the device communicates over LoRaWAN and is available for either EU868 or US915 operation.
Configuration can be received through LoRaWAN downlink, allowing the connected installation to be managed remotely. The transmission interval can be configured from 5 minutes up to 24 hours depending on the required reporting frequency.
The gateway is designed for DIN rail installation and can be powered by either 24 VDC or 230 VAC. It uses separate power terminals, and 230 VAC must not be applied to the 24 VDC terminals.

Installation and connection
Mount the gateway on a DIN rail and connect the required 24 VDC or 230 VAC supply to the correct terminals. Connect up to five compatible Wired M-Bus devices to the M-Bus terminals and configure the LoRaWAN connection and required reporting interval. A compatible LoRaWAN gateway and network server are required for remote data collection.
