The SensoStar 2,5m3 190mm DN20 TempSensor Ø5mm 3-meter cable LoRaWAN is an Engelmann ultrasonic thermal energy meter designed for heat and cooling energy measurement in residential, commercial and building energy applications. This configuration has a nominal flow rate of 2.5 m³/h, DN20 nominal diameter, 190 mm installation length and Ø5 mm temperature sensors with 3-metre cables.
The meter can transmit measurement data through LoRaWAN to a compatible LoRaWAN gateway, network server and energy-management or billing platform.
2.5 m³/h DN20 thermal energy measurement
This SensoStar U configuration combines a qp 2.5 m³/h ultrasonic flow sensor with a DN20 connection, G1B thread and 190 mm overall length. The ultrasonic measuring principle provides reliable flow measurement without moving mechanical measuring parts in the flow sensor.
The meter uses Pt1000 temperature sensors with Ø5 mm probes and 3-metre sensor cables. The extended cable length provides greater flexibility when positioning the supply and return temperature sensors within the installation.
Thermal energy is calculated from the measured volume flow together with the temperature difference between the supply and return circuits. LoRaWAN enables automated remote meter reading without requiring local manual collection.

Installation and connection
Install the SensoStar according to the specified flow direction and installation requirements for the heating or cooling circuit. Position the Ø5 mm supply and return temperature sensors at the designated measurement points, using the 3-metre cables to reach the required sensor locations. For remote reading, commission the LoRaWAN communication and connect the meter to a compatible LoRaWAN gateway and network server.
