The Leak sensor EM300-ZLD MS LoRaWAN is a Milesight zone leak detection sensor designed to detect water and other conductive liquids across a larger area using an external sensing cable. When liquid is detected, the sensor can transmit an alarm through LoRaWAN for remote monitoring and notification.

The EM300-ZLD also includes integrated temperature and humidity sensors, allowing the same device to monitor environmental conditions alongside leakage status. Data can be transmitted through a compatible LoRaWAN gateway to a network server or monitoring platform.

Zone-based water leakage detection

The standard sensing cable is 3 metres long and detects conductive liquids along the cable rather than at a single point. This makes the EM300-ZLD suitable for monitoring larger risk areas such as pipes, plant rooms, basements and equipment installations. The sensing cable length can also be customised.

The sensor supports LoRaWAN Class A with OTAA or ABP activation and can be configured locally through NFC using the Milesight ToolBox app or remotely through LoRaWAN downlink. Historical data storage, retransmission and configurable alarm reporting help reduce the risk of losing important leakage events during temporary network interruptions.

The IP67-rated enclosure is designed for demanding environments, while the replaceable 4000 mAh Li-SOCl2 battery provides long-term operation. An optional 8000 mAh battery version is also available.

Installation and connection

Install the EM300-ZLD transmitter at the required monitoring location and route the sensing cable along floors, walls, pipes or other areas where leakage may occur. The cable should be fixed securely using suitable clips or cable ties and should not be covered by metal or adhesive that may reduce detection sensitivity. Register the sensor with the LoRaWAN network and configure the required reporting and alarm settings using the Milesight ToolBox app or LoRaWAN downlink.
