LoRaWAN CO2, temperature and humidity sensor for indoor air quality
The OY1210 TP Temperature, humidity and CO2 LoRaWAN is a Talkpool wireless indoor air quality sensor designed to measure carbon dioxide concentration, temperature and relative humidity in buildings. It is suitable for offices, schools, meeting rooms, residential properties and other environments where indoor climate and ventilation performance need to be monitored.
The sensor communicates through LoRaWAN and can transmit measurement data through a compatible LoRaWAN gateway to a network server, building management system or indoor climate monitoring platform.
CO2-based indoor climate monitoring
The OY1210 measures temperature, relative humidity and CO2 concentration. Talkpool designed the sensor for smart-building applications where CO2 data can be used to evaluate indoor air quality and support demand-controlled ventilation and HVAC optimisation.
The device measures indoor climate values every minute and normally transmits data every 20 minutes. If the CO2 concentration increases by more than 100 ppm compared with the previous transmission and the concentration is above 750 ppm, an additional transmission is triggered to provide faster notification of changing indoor conditions.
The CO2 sensor performs automatic background calibration on a weekly basis. Talkpool specifies a battery lifetime of more than five years plus one year of storage, including under demanding radio conditions.
See the official Talkpool OY1210 product information for further information about indoor air quality monitoring, installation and operation.
