Direct three-phase energy meter up to 100 A with LoRaWAN

The Pro II 3/100 EMU Direct 3 Phase up to 100A w. ext. antenna LoRaWAN is an EMU Professional II three-phase energy meter designed for direct current measurement up to 100 A per phase. It is suitable for commercial, industrial and building energy applications where direct metering and wireless remote data collection are required.

The meter integrates LoRaWAN communication and is equipped for use with an external antenna, helping improve radio placement in installations where the meter is mounted inside electrical cabinets or other locations with challenging signal conditions. Measurement data can be transmitted through a compatible LoRaWAN gateway to a network server and energy-management platform.

Direct three-phase measurement up to 100 A

The Professional II 3/100 version measures current directly without external current transformers, simplifying installation in applications within the supported current range. It can be used for three-phase energy monitoring, sub-metering and load analysis.

The meter supports bidirectional energy measurement and can register imported and exported active and reactive energy. The Professional II platform also includes a configurable S0 pulse output and graphical LCD display for local reading and commissioning.

The external antenna option allows the LoRaWAN antenna to be positioned separately from the meter, which can be advantageous in metal distribution boards and other installations where radio performance may otherwise be reduced.

Installation and connection

Mount the Professional II meter on a DIN rail and connect the three-phase conductors directly through the meter according to the installation documentation. Connect and position the external LoRaWAN antenna to provide suitable radio coverage, then commission the meter on the LoRaWAN network. A compatible LoRaWAN gateway and network server are required for remote data collection. Installation should be carried out by qualified personnel according to applicable electrical safety requirements.
